ABS Laboratories has established a strong reputation in the field of analytical support for the measurement of drugs of abuse. We are able to provide quantitative information on the presence of a whole range of known abused substances or confirmation of the presence or absence of these compounds in the supplied biological matrices.

We currently  provide support to help in the management of addiction to specialist investigators throughout the UK.

Our expertise in providing pharmacokinetic information to the pharmaceutical sector has also lead to an active involvement by ABS in the development of new delivery systems for existing opiates (e.g. diamorphine, morphine, methadone, their antagonists; naloxone and naltrexone together with cannabis derived medicines.

We typically employ GC-MS and/or LC-MS/MS in these analyses and offer a support or screening service for these compounds, a selection of which are listed below.
